An idiot’s comment on 3 idiots movie
Watched this movie twice. Normally I won’t see a commercial movie twice. This because of the theme and because of Aamir. I am a great fan of him.Secondly the theme. It is too relevant today. Our education system may collapse because of too much emphasis on mugging and less motivation for creativity or original thinking. No place for knowledge for knowledge sake. A very few only understand the pleasure of knowing things. Recently I have floated the idea of a forum “the quest forum” to promote knowledge for knowledge sake.But not much takers for it. The movie of course exaggerated many things. But when you are making a commercial movie it happens i suppose. But it is a good attempt and it is a beginning towards more such movie (posted on Jan 5, 2010,re-posted here)

Actually our whole psychology is different from what we think it should be.
If we understand human psychology it is so simple, there is an attraction of opposite, there is an urge for different.
Now, if a movie like 3 idiot gets superhit ( i dont say it was a bad movie) in our society it directly means that we have not created students like raju. That is where our whole attraction lies. If there were students like raju in our class, college, department then who would go for that movie. We love raju because raju is rare.
People go on watching 2nd and 3rd time that simply means that everyone like raju, his views, his approach to study. Then where is the problem, if we like raju then why we could not make more rajues from our system, school, class, colleges…
